We love minimalism in web design, we really really do. There is something pure about stripping out all of the unnecessary elements from a design and only being left with nothing but the content and some basic navigation.

Without good writing or a strong portfolio, the minimal style will have no real impact and the web design will look cheap. And that is the key to minimal, in the hands of a skilled web designer, they will know that the sites design has to accentuate the content, and the content, in return, accentuates the web design. Its a perfect balance of design skills and good quality content.

It has been over a year since we last published a post on Minimal Wordpress Themes, and what a good year it has been. Lots of new themes, lots of new basic styles and layouts, and judging by the volume of new themes we are clearly not the only ones that love minimal.
